Varsity Head Coach – Julie Fetter
Head Coach Julie Fetter is excited for her first season as Head Varsity Coach at Yorktown. Julie played college softball at Frostburg State University. She was an outfielder and a first baseman, and brings her experience as a player to the Yorktown Varsity team.
Varsity Assistant Coach – Deb Litman
Varsity Assistant Coach Deb Litman played her college softball at Colgate University as a catcher and outfielder.
Julie and Deb have coached in the Arlington Girls Softball Association (AGSA) travel program for the past five years as co-head coaches of the Arlington Sage 12U, 14U and 16U teams. In 2008, Deb and Julie were the Co-Head Coaches of the JV at Yorktown. The JV team posted an undefeated record in 2008 season of 17-0-1.
Julie and Deb's coaching philosophy is to educate the student-athletes about softball, but also about life. Their goal is for the players to look back on their high school experience as a positive experience that helped shape them as young adults.
Varsity Assistant Coach – Laura Rubinchuk
Varsity Assistant Coach Laura Rubinchuk played her college softball at the University of Rochester, graduating in 2006. Laura played at first base primarily, but also played at third base. This is Laura's first year in coaching, but she has a great understanding of the game and looks forward to sharing it with the Yorktown student-athletes.
